In this edition, we are dipping into X-Files territory and exploring the popular culture's fascination with conspiracy theories and strange, unexplained phenomenon, which may portend something significant about our future on the planet.

There is no real single doorway to this labyrinth, just a Grand Central Station of intersecting theories, speculations, and reports. Some are scientific and well-grounded, some are mainstream media reports, and many are the wild amateur regurgitations of the echo chamber of public paranoia that is a staple of YouTube, in all of its sponsored channels.

There is no particular rhyme-nor-reason to the way these various areas of interest are presented on this page. We have left some hints as to which we take seriously, and which we take less so, but the purpose of this survey is primarily to provide a high altitude overview of those public fascinations that reflect who we are as a people, and that are impacting the decisions we participate in making through our democratic processes (In the U.S.).

Defining Conspiracy

To get to the definition of "conspiracy", you must first consider its root word: "conspire". Conspire can be used as a transitive verb, in which case it means "to plot or contrive".

Or, conspire can be used as an intransitive verb, as in:

• "to join in a secret agreement to do an unlawful or wrongful act or an act which becomes unlawful as a result of the secret agreement • accused of conspiring to overthrow the government • conspired to monopolize and restrict trade";
• "to scheme";
• or "to act in harmony toward a common end".

Primary Conspiracy Themes

Conspiracy theory comes in many flavors, but there are two general themes:

• Humans are being controlled by malevolent forces
• Nothing we are told, or have ever been told, by the mainstream media is true

Malevolent forces includes everything from "The Illuminati" and governmental institutions, to aliens from other worlds and other dimensions, to Satan.

Mistrust of mainstream media is an extension of the control wielded by powerful, omnipresent forces, who are countered daily by the alternative media broadcast via the internet, and particularly through YouTube.com.

All Conspiracies Lead to the Illuminati, the Rothschilds, and the New World Order

When I was a kid there was another kid I was growing up with whose father was devoted to the John Birch Society (JBS). Still around today, the JBS is an ultra-conservative group that was founded in 1958, and was quite popular among Cold War-era conservatives until mainstream conservatives like William F. Buckley used his National Review to get the group tarred as radicals, too far to the right to properly represent the conservative movement.

My parent's friend left this book called "None Dare Call It Conspiracy", which was written by ultra-conservative radio personality Gary Allen. Allen, like the speaker in this 1967 recording explaining the whole history of "The Illuminati", an intellectual society found in Bavaria in the second half of the 18th Century, believed that the root of all evil was the one world government movement, which sounded to them like Communism. The mighty House of Rothschild is behind it all, which is hard to argue against in terms of that family's powerful history in the financial fortunes of world governments over the past 250 years, beginning with the Napoleonic Wars.

Whether or not you buy this notion that a powerful cabal, involving the powerful Rothschilds, the Freemasons, the Communists, and the United Nations is attempting to rest complete control of the world, this recording is a dynamite artifact of cultural history - like listening to your wacky uncle going on about evil.  ☺☺☺☺

9/11: Conspiracy Live

The entire realm of this thing we call "conspiracy theory" got rocket-fueled by the September 11, 2001 event that we know as "9/11", that brought down The World Trade Center buildings, destroyed a section of the Pentagon, and left a suspicious smudge on the countryside of Pennsylvania. There heroic Americans brought down their terrorist-hijacked jetliner, saving the nation from experiencing the destruction of some additional national symbol.

One hardly needed to be steeped in conspiracy theory to find a raft of anomalies in the 9/11 story, any one of which makes the entire event seem seriously suspicious. For instance, how is that airplanes - hardly more than hollow aluminum tubes - managed to slice right through two of the most advanced pieces of architecture in the modern world and turn 110-story buildings into dust? That is the official narrative, but clearly that is not what actually happened. It was obvious to everyone on the scene, and covering the story on national TV that day, that those buildings were brought down by controlled demolition.

That included Building 7 of the WTC, which was not struck by an airplane, but somehow also came down, mysteriously comporting with the expectation of news reporters, who seemed to know in advance that the building would "be pulled", even though the building suffered only fires contained to a few floors. Building 7 was a key office space that housed federal investigators, the files from the ENRON investigation, and New York City's emergency command center. In fact, many records of critical importance to investigations were destroyed on 9/11, including records at the Pentagon into the investigation of trillions of dollars of unaccounted-for Pentagon spending, which just happened to be stored in precisely the area of the building that was destroyed by another hi-jacked passenger jet, at least according to the official story.

Never in history have steel structures buildings collapsed due to fire and crumbled into dust before ever reaching the ground, and never have airplanes crashed and completely disintegrated to nothing, as four airplanes supposedly did on that day. That so much of what happened on 9/11 played out on live newscast puts the event in that rare category with the JFK assassination, where viewers reactions to viewing a traumatic and awful event dramatically impacted the way viewers remember what they saw.

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) issued a report on 9/11 that does not stand up to scientific scrutiny:

As much as 9/11 was an event with an official narrative that challenged the laws of physics, it was also an event with profound psychological impact:

Speaking to the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco, theologian and author Dr. David Ray Griffin focused on the power of myth in mobilizing a society, and makes his case that 9/11 was a planned operation. ☺☺☺☺☺

And there were winners in the whole event, and people with clear motives:

JFK Assassination: Awakening

The JFK Assassination was the Pandora's Box of conspiracy, opening the doorway to that strange dimension of interrelated agendas and ambitions that leads to inhumane acts, atrocities, and cover ups. The murder of JFK, and the subsequent murders of Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr., pretty much sealed, in the public mind, this notion that dark forces were at work behind the scenes to alter human history.

Theories about the JFK Assassination include everything from diabolical CIA operatives and murderous elected officials to aliens with connections to the United States government and secret agendas.

HAUNTING WARNINGS FROM EISENHOWER AND KENNEDY

We all remember Eisenhower's speech, upon leaving office, warning of the Military Industrial Complex. JFK took his warnings several steps further, which in retrospect sound like a precursor of his murder.

The Black Vault website is a vast library of government documents obtained through Freedom of Information Act requests and published on line. It is the work of John Greenewald, Jr., who in 1996, at 15 years of age, began "hammering the U.S. Government with FOIA requests to obtain information. ANCIENT ALIENS

Has anything been more effective than the History Channel's "Ancient Aliens" series at mobilizing audiences to believe that everything we have been taught to believe is wrong? Based largely on the disputed theories of researchers Erich von Däniken and Zecharia Sitchin, Ancient Aliens encourages audiences to eschew mainstream science and religion and open up to the possibility that humankind is a hybrid species genetically engineered for Earth by alien humanoids. Moreover, the series suggests that governments around the world have been complicit in a conspiracy to cover up the truth about who "we" are. In that way, it is among the most subversive programs ever presented on American television.

The Elder Gods Versus the Ancient Ones

When Erich von Däniken began publishing his interpretations of various aspects of civilizations' archaeological record, he literally changed the world. A former hotel worker whose fascinations took him around the world to ancient sites that would become known worldwide because of his writings - the Nazca Plains being a prime example - von Däniken boldly proposed that Biblical references to God and to angels were really to advanced extraterrestrials who tampered with life on "our planet".

Zecharia Sitchin took von Däniken's basic thesis many steps further, as Sitchin's claims all came from his own interpretations of ancient Sumerian cuneiform tablets. There are many of those, but few who have deciphered their meanings - and fewer yet who agree on the interpretations that have been done, including Sitchin's.

His reading of the Sumerian tablets tells of an advanced race of spacefaring giants called the Anunaki, who arrived on Earth 450,000 years ago to mine the planet's gold. They were trying to repair the atmosphere of their home planet through Geo-engineering involving gold, which has unique and powerful properties in terms of managing the sun's radiation and conducting electrical charges.

On Earth, the Anunaki (the "Elder Gods" in some references) encountered a race referred to as the "Ancient Ones", which were reptilian humanoids native to Earth, which some believe explains why reptilian iconography is so prominent in virtually every culture on our planet. They were led by their Queen Tiamat, who is described in the Sumerian text as "a great wicked serpent" or "mighty dragon". The Anunaki deposed the Ancient Ones, but they apparently also interbred with them, because their joint DNA went into the makeup of us, modern humans.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Is it possible that this is what Carl Sagan was alluding to in his Pulitzer Prize winning book "The Dragons of Eden", which describes the "reptilian cortex" at the foundation of the human brain?

The triumphant Anunaki, according to Sitchin, interbred with primitive humans to create a hybrid slave species to work the mining operations. Continued breeding with humans created the race of Nephilim referenced in the Bible, which were part of the reason the Anunaki created the floods referenced in many ancient literatures, which wiped all but a few families off the Earth and thus allowed humankind to begin fresh again, uncontaminated.

The Anunaki story goes that there was a split among them, after which most left the planet, while others literally went underground, where they have continued to exert control of the human race through royal bloodlines, "blue bloods" such as have historically ruled the thrones of Europe.

Or, as others might have you believe, they exert control over humans through the manipulation of a frequency matrix, which still others believe is broadcast over planet Earth from our hollow moon. It encourages humans to accept the reality they present. In that sense, these shape-shifting, cross-dimensional reptile overlords are the ultimate incarnation of "The Illuminati", comprising the most power families on the planet.

Technology is robbing us of human life skills, and we are being systematically dumbed down. Chemtrails and Transhumanism

Elana Freeland is a spiritual warrior who researches the ionization of the atmosphere, which she believes is taking place through the spraying of aluminum, barium and strontium into Earth's lower atmosphere. To her, it is all part of the "globalism" agenda, a "full spectrum dominance" that has militarized university research in the "national security state". Freeland suspects the Freemasons and other secret organizations are using ionization of the atmosphere to produce  extreme weather, and that they have agendas involving vaccinations, genetically modified organisms, water quality, immune system degeneration, acid oceans, dying species, alkanized soil, mind control and targeting, Morgellons syndrome, and transhumanism, all of which are connected in her world. ☺☺☺☺

Agenda 21/2030 and Sustainable Development

Agenda 2030, which was initially known as Agenda 21, is a United Nations "sustainable development" plan, adopted in 2015 and signed on to by something like 107 world leaders. It sets 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that you can review by using that link to the UN site. Clean water, educational opportunity, and economic equality seem good enough, but to conspiracy theorists like Elana Freeland, Agenda 2030 is nothing less than an effort to create global communism, and redistribute wealth, as Glenn Beck was going on about back in 2011. That probably only sounds like a bad idea if you are wealthy. ☺

Chemtrails and Strange Orbs

So is this real? That is the question we always ask in our modern age, whenever we encounter a digital image of any kind. It is so easy to create convincing fakes of any kind of phenomena, and in the internet age of content development people grab what they find interesting and republish it for their own purposes, similar to what we are doing with this edition. In this video below, a no-doubt well-meaning sky watcher examines some interesting video. California skies are filled these days with strange thick lines, exactly as shown in this video. We see what appear to be four-engine commercial jets flying overhead and leaving these thick rivers of white that do not dissipate, but rather stay in the cloud for hours, slowly spreading a veil of particulate cloud matter. Some YouTube broadcasters claim to have visual evidence that these chemtrail producing jets are not airplanes at all, but rather are holographic images shielding orbs that are producing these trails.

This video below takes it one step further, with orbs spotted in the clouds apparently shooting something additional into them.

Who knows if this video is legitimate? It plays into a theory that chemtrails are the work of an alien civilization that is Geo-engineering Earth to make it suitable for their habitation.

Morgellon's Syndrome

Thousands of people in the world suffer from this strange "disease", dubbed Morgellon's after an Oakland scientists whose family is afflicted with the syndrome found a reference in a 19th Century news article about people exhibiting the same symptoms. The afflicted get skin lesions that produce fibrous materials.

For years, sufferers were treated as if they have a mental illness - that they scratch lesions into their skin, and scratch clothing fibers into the lesions. Scientific research has shown that these fibers coming from people's open sores are not a match for any other known fibrous material.

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) did a study and concluded that the disease is not real, but they treat it at the Mayo Clinic. This video tells the story of a family afflicted by some strange phenomena that remains unexplained.

Matrix and Reptilians

David Icke has been a pioneer in the world of conspiracy, and has worn a few crowns over the years, but he has gotten his best traction with the connection between the matrix (control device, which he feels is generated from our hollow moon, which is really a space ship) and a shape-shifting Reptilian race that controls the world's governmental and financial seats of power. The blue bloods, in Icke's world, are hereditary rulers whose reptilian bloodline goes back to the beings who engineered the human race. The Royal Family of England is largely comprised of these extra-dimensional creatures (but not the bastard Prince Harry). ☺☺☺

Is Earth a Prison Planet?

Sometimes it feels like it, right?

While the David Icke's of the world believe that humankind is imprisoned by a control matrix, there are other speculators who share this theme of planet Earth being a holding pen of some kind. The story of Scientology involves the stranding of negative spirits (Thetans) on Earth. And there is no shortage of YouTube videos exploring similar themes.

Many of these have Christian themes, pitting prison planet Earth as a battleground for control of the human soul. In this video, the Gnostic Gospels are explored for reference to a control group of aliens called the Archons, who are not dissimilar to David Icke's Reptoid overlords. ☺☺☺

US Moon Landing was Faked

Back in 1969, the world watched enthralled as two American astronauts landed and walked out onto the surface of Earth's moon. We saw it in grainy feeds from NASA, and listened to the crackling communications between Mission Control and the three astronauts aboard the Apollo 11 spacecraft. But it wasn't too long before people started questioning the entire venture, particularly after the last of the scheduled Apollo flights were canceled, and our trips to the Moon stopped happening. Rumors spread that NASA had conceded that they had no way to pass astronauts through the Van Allen Radiation Belt and have them survive to journey on to the Moon. The Soviets had five times more experience with space travel than the US, and they never tried to send a man to the moon. And people began to closely exam the NASA footage of Apollo landings, and began to wonder if a master filmmaker could convincingly fake the whole thing. In 1968, Director Stanley Kubrick had released 2001: A Space Odyssey, which gave audiences of the era their sense for what a telecast from the moon would look like. And it didn't help that the Apollo astronauts were defensive in response to questions, and in the case of the ultimate astronaut, Neil Armstrong, seemed to want to wipe the entire experience out of his memory. Years later, while accepting an award at the White House, he uttered a cryptic comment about a future when "truths protective layers" will be removed.  ☺☺☺

Alien Structures on the Moon, Mars and Beyond

On the flip side, there are also books detailing the Apollo moon landings and the photography flyovers that revealed alien structures, and even current alien activity on Earth's moon. All of the moon landing stuff is touched on in the video below.  ☺☺☺

Why Would NASA Fake a Moon Landing?

When John F. Kennedy declared the goal of putting a man on the moon by the end of the decade of the 1970s, he was speaking as the leader of the US in a Cold War with the very advanced Soviet Union. It might have been helpful for the US to show some technological muscle of its own by beating the Soviets to the Moon. But 50 years later, NASA is still talking about our inability to get past the Van Allen Radiation Belt, or otherwise get beyond low Earth orbit. So how is it we went to the Moon back in 1969? NASA claims to have lost the technology. They don't even have the telemetry data from the Moon missions. Somehow they have lost the scientific record of the greatest achievement of mankind. Is that possible, or was there nothing to lose? ☺☺☺

Never A Straight Answer (NASA)

Reporters covering the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) have long referred to the organization as "Never A Straight Answer". This video below explains part of that.

Grammys, Isis Worship, and Satanic Symbols

Whoever "The Fire Rises" is, he is very worried about the New World Order and the Illuminati, and he was pretty convinced that this year's Grammy Awards was a parade of Satanic imagery. Time's Up! ☺

Brides of Satan, Illuminati Sluts

According to The Black Child, on YouTube, the entertainment business is filled with Satanic actors, including a bunch of tarts who give away their immoral predilections by doing "the chair dance". ☺

Black Ops Shooting in Las Vegas

In October 2017, someone executed automatic weapons fire on a group of concert goers at a Country Music festival on festival grounds across the street from the Mandalay Bay resort in Las Vegas. According to reports, 58 people were killed by a man identified as Stephen Paddock, who died on the scene of a gunshot wound.

The Las Vegas shooting is still under investigation and authorities still have not come up with an explanation for what happened. Multiple witnesses reported multiple shooters. Paddock was found dead, surrounded by weapons and ammunition. He had somehow broken the thick glass in his complimentary room without setting off security sensors, and opened fire on the crowd hundreds of yards away across the street using rifles equipped with bump stocks. The audio from the event clearly indicates shots coming from something other than a modified rifle.

YouTube conspiracy nuts went nuts over the inconsistencies and contradictions of the accounts of this story. Here conspiracy theory specialist Jeff Rense does an interview with a skeptic of the early, official accounts of what happened. YouTube is filled with "researchers" with "proof" that the Las Vegas shootings were not the work of a mad gunman, with all suggesting that the CIA, the Israeli Mossad, and ISIS all had a hand in the seemingly purposeless event.

Sandy Hook and Gun Control

In 2012, a kid named Adam Lanza killed his mother and then barged into Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut and killed 20 school children and six adults. It was a weird story from the first, with almost nothing adding up, leading some to believe the entire event was a staged hoax.

For people who think Sandy Hook was a hoax, the whole event was staged at a school that was no longer in use for the purpose of mobilizing gun control activists. There are death certificates of the children killed in the shooting available from the local jurisdiction, but that hasn't stopped conspiracy theorists from questioning the whole story.

They note that parents of Sandy Hook children leveraged the event to put together a for-profit organization to promote school security systems.

This video compiles and reviews information gathered at the time. It presents video information that makes it look like a staged event, or possibly a drill of some kind, but not a real school shooting. There seem obviously to be actors at work, ranging from the parents of murdered children, to heroic neighbors, to that very strange coroner who suggested that something could come crashing down on the Sandy Hook community as a result of whatever happened at this school.

Who Is Dan Flynn and Why Is He Saying Those Weird Things?

There are a bunch of famous people named Dan Flynn. There is a conservative writer by that name, and the head of U.S. Soccer is a Dan Flynn. And then there is the Dan Flynn who has a YouTube channel and publishes long (hour-plus) mish-mash videos that string together sections of other videos to make some kind of a point, but not necessarily the ones he uses to title his videos. These include:

Flynn's exercises in video editing leave a curious viewer feeling mighty frustrated, because Flynn offers no connecting narrative to explain why what he is showing fulfills the promise of each video's title. But he does have a sense of humor. He uses brief videos of a cat saying "hey" in a human voice, which brings things into a more comfortable perspective, and individuals that pop up occasionally to ask if you are prepared for the alien invasion. It is not quite entertainment, not original content, and certainly not authoritative insight into the challenges confronting Earth;s future. But for people who just like killing time listening to creepy alien stuff, it is there for the taking.
